Nokia 3310 4G (TA-1077) spotted on TENAA, runs YunOS

The Nokia TA-1077, which received a certification in China earlier this month and is already said to be the Nokia 3310 4G, has now been spotted on TENNA. The listing also includes images of the device.
While details are scarce on the specifications front, one interesting info the listing reveals is that the handset will be powered by Yun-OS, an Android-based operating system from China's Alibaba.
No information yet on what price tag the Nokia 3310 4G will carry and when exactly it will be available.

Amazon India teases upcoming Samsung Galaxy On smartphone

Amazon India is teasing a new upcoming device from Samsung. The landing page talks about a 'new way to shop', 'superior performance', and a 'stunning new look' before ending with 'coming soon'.
We believe it is a successor to one of Samsung's older mid-range devices. Perhaps a 2018 Galaxy On7 or On8. That's pretty much all we can gather from the dark side view of the device and the fact that it says 'Shoot. Shop. On.' in the teaser.
The page also talks about a new way to shop, suggesting a new payment system. Both, Samsung and Amazon, have their payment systems in India, Samsung Pay and Amazon Pay, respectively. We can't say for sure whether you will be able to use Samsung Pay to purchase items on Amazon or use Amazon Pay to purchase items in stores on your Samsung phone.
Amazon hasn't even given a date, so we will have to wait and see what comes out of this partnership.

Users file lawsuits against Apple for slowing down old iPhones

Apple confirmed it slowed down old devices to keep the battery life, but the silent way the company pushed the feature angered many people. According to Reuters, at least eight owners filed lawsuits in US District Courts in California, New York, and Illinois and a similar one was deposited in an Israeli court.

Honor View 10 now open for registrations on Amazon India

Amazon has started registrations for the Honor View 10 launch in India, unsurprisingly exclusive to Amazon India. Registrations in this case doesn't mean you put any money down but simply that you will be alerted when the phone goes on sale, which will happen on January 8, 2018. The price is yet to be announced.
The Honor View 10 is the flagship device in the Honor series, which is Huawei's online exclusive range. It has a 5.99-inch, 2160x1080 18:9 Full View display, 16MP + 20MP dual rear camera system, and 13MP front camera with face unlock. It runs on the Kirin 970 SoC with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage. The phone has a 3750mAh battery with 9V/2A fast charging. The View 10 will come with EMUI 8 based on Android 8.0 Oreo.

iFixit drops the prices for its iPhone battery replacement kits to $29 or lower

Earlier today we saw that Apple issued an apology for not clearly communicating that it was capping the performance of certain older iPhones when their battery health degraded and offering to drop the price of battery replacement for these devices down to $29 for the entire year of 2018.
Now, iFixit has announced that it too will be slashing the prices for all of its iPhone battery replacement kits down to $29 or lower. These kits are available from iPhone 7 and all the way back to iPhone 4S.
A typical iFixit battery replacement comes with the battery along with all the tools that you would need to open up the phone and replace it yourself.
This is where it gets tricky and where you need to read closely before you open a new tab and order one of these for yourself. The person replacing the battery is you. Not a certified Apple professional but you, a person with $29 and some spare time. Like most phones today, iPhones are not meant to be opened by non-qualified personnel. If you mess something up, that's on you, not iFixit and certainly not Apple, who will be more than happy to charge you even more to fix whatever you broke on top of that battery.
The most important thing to consider is that the display is glued to the phone. After you unscrew the phone you literally have to pull out the display using the provided suction cup. If you snap a cable or the display itself while doing this, that's another $129 to get the display fixed.
So while this is a great option for those devices that are not part of Apple's replacement program and for people who know what they are doing, if your device is one of those specified by Apple then it's best to have the experts do it for you.

Huawei Enjoy 7S Will Be Sold Internationally under the Huawei P Smart Name

Leak Specifications Snapdragon 670, 640, and 460 Chipset Has Appeared

Now the new year 2018 will arrive soon and the company has set up its new chipset and leaked details about Qualcomm's latest chipset has been in circulation. Details this time revealed three mid-range chipset, the Snapdragon 670, Snapdragon 640, and Snapdragon 460 which will be carried by medium-sized smartphone in 2018.
This chipset will be a middle-class chipset of the company that is in the highest position, that is as a replacement for Snapdragon 660. Leak of the existence of this chipset before it had appeared several months ago. The chipset is built with a 10nm manufacturing process that features an octa-core processor (quad-core Kryo 360 Core Gold Cortex-A75 2.0GHz + quad-core Kryo 385 Cortex-A55 1.60GHz Core). As for graphics processing, the chipset relies on the Adreno 620 GPU and will have a Spectra 260 ISP that supports a single sensor of up to 26MP and a 13MP dual sensor. LTE speed also gets improved with a new X16 modem that replaces X12 modem on Snapdragon 660. Maximum download speed is 1000Mbps and upload speed up to 150Mbps maximum.

Snapdragon 640 

This chipset is also still built with a 10nm process and rely on an octa-core processor that consists of dual-core Kryo 360 Gold 2.15GHz and hexa-core Kryo 360 Silver 1.55GHz. As for the graphics processor using the Adreno 610 GPU and will have an ISP like Snapdragon 670 but with the same X12 modem as Snapdragon 636. 
Snapdragon 460 Snapdragon 

460 will replace the Snapdragon 450 which is currently only available on some devices like Vivo V7 and V7 + and Xiaomi Redmi 5 The chipset is built with a 14nm processor that features an octa-core processor comprising quad-core Kryo 360 Silver 1.8GHz and quad-core Kryo 360 Silver 1.4GHz and Adreno 605 GPU and ISP Spectra 605. In addition, the chipset will also carry LTE X12 models like Snapdragon 640.

Android 8.0 Oreo Update For Xiaomi Mi A1 Bring Fast Charging Technology Support

Xiaomi presents Mi 5X for markets outside of China as Xiaomi Mi A1, which works with Google in the Android One program. This does not make Xiaomi fans disappointed, in fact many users out there are very receptive when Xiaomi decided to present the Mi A1 as an Android One device without running MIUI, and this smartphone is one of the best in its price range.
 
During the launch of the Mi A1, Xiaomi has promised that it will soon launch Android Oreo updates for the device in the near future. After searching for beta testers for the update, Xiaomi began launching the Android Oreo update for Mi A1 for some selected users.
While the update introduces several new features in the device such as picture-in-picture mode, Autofill API, smart text selection, notification dots, and others. The good news, there is a new feature added to the feature, which features fast charging. Most Xiaomi devices do not have support for Qualcomm's Quick Charge technology even though the hardware devices they carry are capable enough to handle such features. This is certainly predictable, that is because Xiaomi did not pay license fees to Qualcomm to use Quick Charging feature on the device, which basically in order to suppress the selling price of the device. But it seems Xiaomi this time quite softened, at least for Mi A1 is selling well in the market. According to the TelecomTalk report, which has tested the Android 8.0 Oreo update on Mi A1, the update brings support for fast charging features, which only takes 1 hour 32 minutes to charge 3080mAh battery on the Mi A1. While before getting this feature, the device requires at least 2 hours more to fully charge the battery capacity. Note, however, that the test uses OnePlus's charger, the Dash Charge, not the Xiaomi built-in charger.
