Samsung and Harman's AI speaker launching in 2018

Rumors of Samsung and Harman jointly working no an AI speaker are intensifying. Dinesh Paliwal, CEO of Harman International, told Korean media that a device was discussed behind closed doors in Berlin during the IFA 2017. According to Paliwal, the speaker would be better than Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa.
Samsung and Harman are preparing an AI speaker, launching in 2018 The closest Samsung has to a smart speaker right now - the Radiant360. IFA 2017 saw the debut of a bunch of voice-operated electronics and Samsung even added a few smart appliances to its own lineup. Yet a smart speaker is the largest project Harman and Samsung are working together after the acquisition earlier this year.
For now, Samsung has Bixby that works on the Galaxy S8 and the Galaxy S8+, along with the recently announced Galaxy Note8. The voice assistant has a dedicated button and a few cool features, but its reception hasn't been overwhelmingly positive.
Since it is slowly rolling out in languages different than Korean or English, it needs some time and user dedication to prove itself as a feasible service and a direct competitor to Google Assistant.

ZTE Blade A2S unveiled with a 5.2" 1080p screen, more memory

In mid-2016, ZTE unveiled an affordable ($105) phone with an octa-core processor. Now it has launched a sequel - the ZTE Blade A2S. The price is the same – CNY 700 on JD.com in China – but you get a 5.2” 1080p screen this time around, up from 5” 720p.
There's more memory too – 3GB of RAM and 32GB storage, up from 2GB/16GB. If you need more, you can put a microSD card in the hybrid card slot (but you lose the dual SIM functionality).
Screen and memory aside, this is more or less the same phone. You get a metal frame and with a fingerprint reader on the back and a 2,540mAh battery inside. The camera appears unchanged at 13MP / 1080p on the back plus a 5MP selfie cam on the front.

The Blade A2S runs an unspecified version of Android on a MediaTek MT6753 chipset, which offers an octa-core processor (at 1.3GHz) and – somehow – an older GPU than what was on the regular A2.
If all this sounds like your cup of tea (or you just need a low-cost phone), JD.com will start selling the A2S on September 8. You can register now at the source link.

Apple launches $349 Beats Studio 3 Wireless headphones with adaptive noise cancellation

Apple has announced a new pair of headphones from its Beats by Dr. Dre brand today. The new Beats Studio 3 Wireless are in fact the flagship headphones offered by the company from this point on, retailing for $349 in the US and £299 in the UK.

Parts for iPhone 8 shipping in limited quantities, prices will be high

Apple will unveil the iPhone 8 next week – September 12 – but while the design process may have finished, the production is merely beginning. A Korean parts supplier claims it started shipments in late August, which means the new flagship may come out around November.
So you still have some time to save up money as you'll need a lot of it if you want the new flagship iPhone. Rumor has it that it will start at a whopping $1,000, the highest starting price of an iPhone yet! And that's for 64GB of storage, if you want the top 512GB model then prepare to fork over a extra couple of hundred dollars.
64GB $1,000
256GB $1,100
512GB $1,200
Apple was allegedly tweaking the hardware of the iPhone 8 until the last moments before part shipments commenced. The launch volume of the phone are still unknown but rumored to be low compared to the iPhone 7s.
Parts for iPhone 8 already shipping from suppliers, but expect few units this year “Even if the OLED iPhone is launched in September, it will be available in an extremely limited quantity,” claims one insider. Analysts believe that only a few million units of the iPhone 8 will be available this year.
Companies supplying components will still make a lot of money, though. Samsung Display provides all of the OLED panels for the iPhone 8, LG Display is the key (but not only) supplier of LCD screens for the iPhone 7s duo. Sister company LG Innotek is building the dual camera modules.

The Google Maps app is soon able to feature Picture-in-Picture

Google Maps is one of the most favorite navigation apps, because in addition to easy to use, this application is also free. But Google Maps is an app that belongs to the full-screen category, where if you minimize or exit the app you will lose visual navigation, even if you can enable audio gestures. Actually, to overcome the problem of loss of navigation when minimizing the application can be overcome by utilizing the Picture-in-Picture feature and the good news that one of Google's best services will soon get the new features. Picuture-in-Picture feature itself is actually a feature that comes present on Android 8.0 Oreo, and a good news when Google developed the feature for the Google Maps application. This new feature has been applied to the Google Maps app, but keep in mind that new features will come soft-launching, so not all users get this new feature right away. But the side-down of the presence of this new feature is to require devices that are already running Android 8.0 Oreo alone can enjoy the Picture-in-Picture feature in the Google Maps application. That way, only Pixel and Nexus devices can enjoy this new feature, because for now only Google-owned devices are already running Android 8.0 Oreo.

As expected, Sony has launched Xperia XZ1 and Xperia XZ1 Compact at IFA 2017, where both Xperia XZ and X Compact continue to slide last year. Both of these previous smartphones often appear on leaked reports, and so far leaks that appear before it has been confirmed by Sony because this smartphone comes with the expected specifications. This time we will discuss about Xperia XZ1 as the main model.
Xperia XZ1 comes with a flagship chipset Snapdragon 835 is paired with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage that can still be expanded using a microSD. Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 leaked renders show inexistent bezels while Qualcomm confirms Snapdragon 835 is in

The Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 is already in mass production ahead of its September 11 unveiling event. This was confirmed by the Chinese company's CEO earlier, and now a couple of new leaked renders are here for you to drool over. Or you could play a game of "find the bezel" - yes, singular, because that's all we're going to get, one lonely bezel on the bottom, as you can see.
It houses the front-facing camera reprising the original Mi Mix's design from this point of view, but the new Mix certainly takes things much further overall. It seems to have a proper curved screen this time around, and the bottom bezel is somehow even smaller than before. It's probably a safe bet that the Mi Mix 2 will be 2017's most impressive device when it comes to screen-to-body ratio.
As for its innards, Qualcomm has confirmed that the phone will be powered by its Snapdragon 835 chipset, so that rumor speaking about an 836 turns out to have been wrong. The 835 has been the go-to chip for top of the line smartphones this year, and thus it suits the Mi Mix 2 well.
The handset has also been said to sport a 6.2" 2,960x1,440 AMOLED screen (basically the same panel found inside Samsung's Galaxy S8+), 6GB of RAM, and a 4,400 or 4,500 mAh battery. We'll know all the details straight from the horse's mouth in exactly one week.
